Love Race - Valentines Wife-Carrying Contest
To prove their love Thai couples gathered at Pattaya, Thailand to join the Love Race of 800m, called "No Distance For Love Race." The contestants race in the hot sun wearing full wedding dress. For the first leg the ladies are on their own running for 500m but the men have to take the strain for the last 300m carrying their wife too. The winners took home 30,000 baht ($857) and the couple who came in last blamed their poor performance on lack of training.
